- Whilst a vertical roof is not required, we highly recommend adding one or purchasing a package that includes ones. A vertical roof on a shed can increase snow load by up to 30 lbs sq ft
Yes, 12-gauge is better than 14-gauge steel. 12-gauge increase wind and snow load, adds increase support to the skeleton of the shed, and is less likely to rust. We offer a 20-year rust warranty on all 12-gauge steel framing. Read our Warranty Coverage page to learn more.
Yes! Both our 12-gauge and 14-gauge tubing are made of galvanized steel. Our 29-gauge and 26-gauge sheet metal are also galvanized. Galvanized steel, when paired with carports, is less prone to rust over time. We back this with a 20-year rust warranty on all carports with 12-gauge galvanized steel.
